Can I add a lap child after booking?
Some airlines will allow you to add a lap child at the time of booking when making your reservation online. If you do not have this option, once you have completed your reservation, you will need to call the reservations department and add your child to your reservation.
How do I add an infant to my lap on American Airlines?
At time of writing, you can’t include a lap child in your booking at AA.com. Instead, you will have to contact reservations directly to notify them of the extra passenger traveling with you, and to assess (and pay!) any additional taxes or fees that your lap child may incur (necessary for international air travel).

Once a reservation is confirmed, you are not able to modify the passengers on the booking. Simply create a new reservation for your additional passengers.
