What do you put in the bottom of a biorb?
Place some of the treated water into the tank, just above the bottom, so you can still place your decorations. Pour in the bottom decoration you have chosen, like stones or pebbles. But gravel and sand are not appropriate for the bottom filter, in a Biorb or Biube, as they could clog it.
Can I put sand in my fish tank?

Generally anything that holds water and permits light to shine through will work for these lovely shrimp. Remember they can hack it out several years in a horridly small airtight orb. You will not need a filter or an air stone with pump.
